Fair parade tonight

Autos parked in staging, route area maybe towed

The Hamilton County Fair Parade is scheduled for 6 p.m. tonight and the Webster City Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance.

Vehicles in the staging areas or the parade route area will be subject to tow after the declared time. Officials said signs will be posted to alert the community where parking will be prohibited.

Staging areas will be on Elm, Walnut, Boone, Cedar and Webster streets, all east of Broadway Street. Staging will begin at 4 p.m.

The parade route will proceed from Prospect Street to Second Street, on to Superior Street, and then turning onto Bank/Dubuque Street. The parade will turn onto Bluff Street, ending up at the Fairgrounds. Street department and law enforcement officials will be along the route to assist with traffic control.
