Concert pianist to present recital, classes

From Vienna, Austria to Carnegie Hall, New York City, to Jewell, Iowa

JEWELL – A concert pianist from Vienna, Austria will bring his keyboard mastery to Jewell next week with a recital and learning opportunities for area musicians.

Stephan Moller, who has performed all over the world including at Carnegie Hall in New York City, is a friend and colleague of Don and Delayna Beattie of Jewell. Moller will present a Beethoven piano recital on Wednesday, June 14 at 7 p.m. at the United Church of Christ in Jewell. Admission is free but free will donations are welcomed.

A pre-recital talk will be presented by Don Beattie at 6:30 p.m. A reception will follow the recital.

On Tuesday, June 13 from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. at the United Church of Christ, Moller along with the Beatties will present a session entitled, “Beethoven for Young Children.”

Also on Tuesday, Moller will present a master class for young pianists, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the church. The cost for the master class pianists is $25 with free admission for teachers and the public.
