Parts of Second Street and adjacent streets in downtown Webster City will close today and will remain closed as organizers and vendors get ready for JunqueFest.

Organizers said that as of 7 a.m. today, Second Street between Seneca and Prospect will be closed. Also closing are Seneca Street between Second and First Streets; Willson Avenue from the north alley to the south alley and Des Moines Street from the north alley to First Street.

Vendors will be arriving to set up starting today with the official event beginning on Friday from 12 to 7 p.m.  Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday, vendors will be open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Public parking will be available in the 500 and 600 blocks of the north alley parking lot. Handicap parking is available on Seneca Street.  Vendors will park in the city hall lot, in the 500 block south alley lot and the 700 block north alley lot.

Friday night, Seneca Street in front of the Seneca St. Saloon will be closed for the Farm Rock concert, organizers said.

An information booth will be set up at the corner of Seneca and Second Streets for those who have questions.
