LLBRV unveils Thursday art events
Public invited to meet the artists, learn about workshops
The public is invited to explore the local art scene with some special events planned by Legacy Learning Boone River Valley.
Starting this week, the group will be hosting gatherings every Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at 531 Second St., to offer local residents a chance to meet some local artists, instructors and friends, as well as giving an opportunity to try a bit of art themselves. There is no charge to attend and wine will be served. Organizers said the informal gathering is meant to share with the community what LLBRV does, the importance of art in our lives as well as being fun for those attending.
This Thursday, Cord McMahon, the artist-in-residence will be on hand along with Doug Abbott who will be showcasing welding.
