Council meets tonight

Resignation, requests on the agenda

The City Council of Webster City will meet tonight at 5:30 p.m. in the council chambers.

The council will meet in closed session at 5:10 p.m. this evening before the regular meeting. The meeting will focus an interview for a position on the Civil Service Commission.

A request from Webster City Police Chief Shiloh Mork to close the 400 block of Second Street on Saturday, May 13 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for the Bicycle Rodeo is on the agenda for possible council approval.

The council may approve a request from the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce for a fireworks permit for July 1.

A motion to accept the resignation of Leo Moriarty from the City Planning and Zoning Commission is on the agenda for possible council approval.

A resolution approving an agreement between the Wilson Brewer Park/Depot Foundation, Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines and Enhance Hamilton County Foundation in connection with investments and authorizing the transfer of $10,000 from the City’s Wilson Brewer Park Fund to be maintained by the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines in on the agenda for possible approval.

A request from the Environmental Safety Coordinator to accept a quote for Phase 2 of the Riverside Park Stormwater Wetland, Wetland Seeding and Planting project, is on the agenda for possible approval.

The council may approve a request from the line department supervisor to purchase a 2017 Toro TRX26 Walk-behind Trencher.

The appointment of an individual to the Civil Service Commission for the four year term of April 3, 2017 to April 4, 2021 is on the agenda for council approval.
