The guide is inserted in Friday’s newspaper and will be distributed to Welcome Centers across Iowa.

The new Webster City Area Activities Guide has been released and is included in today’s Daily Freeman-Journal. The guide is a joint project between the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce and The Daily Freeman-Journal.

The guide features a look at all that the Webster City area has to offer when it comes to dining, shopping and accommodations. Also included are trail maps, information on area parks and attractions. Find information on local churches, the arts and community events, golf at Briggs Woods, racing action at the Hamilton County Speedway, as well as festivals and celebrations around the county.

In addition to being inserted in the Daily Freeman-Journal and the Area Advertiser, the Activities Guide is distributed to Welcome Centers all around the state of Iowa.

“The Chamber wanted to try a few new things, including the cover idea and the trail maps inside — and we’re thrilled with the way it came out,” said Deb Brown, executive director of the Webster City Area of Commerce. “The businesses, events, activities and organizations are what make this town great (and the people!) — and this is a strong way to showcase our community.

“We are excited to unveil the 2017 Webster City Area Chamber Guide,” said Terry Christensen, Daily Freeman-Journal general manager. “The Daily Freeman Journal appreciates the opportunity to partner with local Chamber businesses, Deb Brown and the Chamber staff.”

This informative magazine brings a wonderful insight to the area’s businesses and people,” he said.
