Van Diest Medical Center has announced the addition of oncology services to the specialty care services available at the hospital.

Dr. Angela Sandre, with Medical Oncology and Hematology Associates (MOHA) of Iowa, is now seeing patients in the Specialty Clinic Department at Van Diest Medical Center the second Wednesday of each month.

Specializing in Medical Oncology and Hematology, Dr. Sandre received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Des Moines University and completed an internal medicine internship and residency from the University of Iowa program in Des Moines. She completed a fellowship from the Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Sandre joined Medical Oncology and Hematology Associates in 2007 and has current hospital affiliations with Mercy Medical Center and Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Mercy Medical Center in Centerville and Van Diest Medical Center.
