Grants on the agenda

Past recipients, current finalists to give reports to H/M board

The Hotel Motel Tax Board will meet tonight at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall to hear a series of presentations from current and former H/M Tax grant money finalists.

The board will observe presentations from four previous grant recipients. Each presentation will be five minutes in length with an added five minutes for questions following the presentation.

Janet Adams will present on behalf of Arts R Alive in Webster City concerning Arts R Alive in Webster City events.

Nancy Kayser will present on behalf of the Hamilton County Fair Foundation concerning the restoration and preservation of the 1919 Sales Pavilion and Stock (Horse) Barn.

Mike Constant and Deb Brown will present on behalf of the Iowa Antique JunqueFest Network and the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce.

Kent Harfst will present on behalf of the Wilson Brewer Historic Park Committee concerning the Wilson Brewer Historic Park Museum and Information Center.

After the conclusion of former recipient presentations, the board will hear from the eight finalists hoping to receive funding for this cycle of H/M Tax grant monies. Each group will be allowed seven minutes to present plus an additional five minutes for questions.

Janet Toering will present on behalf of ACE Community Center-All Cultures Equal. Toering is seeking funding for the ACE Community Center Grand Opening.

Dale Caquelin will present on behalf of American Legion Post 191 about storage for the Avenue of Flags equipment and flags.

Janet Adams will present on behalf of Arts R Alive in Webster City. She will be speaking about Arts R Alive in Webster City events.

Kelly Haman will present on behalf of Briggs Woods Golf Course/Hamilton County Conservation Board. Haman will be speaking about the Briggs Woods Conference Center.

Mike Brandrup and Maureen Seamonds will be presenting on behalf of Legacy Learning Boone River Valley about and Artist in Residence and workshop series.

Deb Brown and Mike Constant will be presenting on behalf of the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce and Iowa Antique Network about JunqueFest.

Terry Christensen and Ryan Williams will be speaking on behalf of the Webster City Lions Club about the Lions Park revitalization.

Gary Groves and Kent Harfst will be presenting on behalf of the Wilson Brewer Historic Park Committee concerning the Wilson Brewer Historic Park and Information Center.
