Input sought

Webster City City Councilman Logan Welch will host an informal time of conversation today from 7 to 11 a.m. at Mornin’ Glory Coffee Shop.

“Please take a few minutes to sit down with me and let me know what is on your mind over a cup of coffee,” said Welch.

Those who are unable to attend the informal atmosphere can contact Welch at (515) 835-8537 or email lwelch@webstercity.com.

“I want to hear your input on Webster City issues and what you need from your city councilman,” Welch said.

Input sought

The Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce is looking for some input from local residents.

Chamber Director Deb Brown received an email from Aaron Putze of the Iowa Food and Family Project. He said that 40 food-minded Iowans, many of whom are bloggers or who are active on social media will be passing through Hamilton County on Aug. 25. They will be developing a trip guide for participants and would like to include any timely, interesting or fun facts about the places they pass along the way.

Putze explained in his email that they are looking for fun facts on restaurants, retailers, historic sites or agri-tourism.

Brown said she would turn to the experts for advice.

“I’m leaving it up to you, our local experts. What should we say,” she said. “Please let us know what should be included in their trip guide for Hamilton County.”

Brown asked local residents to send ideas to leah@visitwebstercityiowa.com. The ideas and suggestions will then be passed on and shared with Putze.

“Feel free to share this with all your friends and ask them to send suggestions as well,” Brown said.
