New regional director named for SBDC center in Fort Dodge

FORT?DODGE – America’s SBDC Iowa has hired Pam Johnson of Fort Dodge to advise and train entrepreneurs and existing businesses for the North Central Iowa SBDC hosted by the Webster Co Agricultural Extension District Council. Johnson started work for the SBDC as its regional director on Sept. 8.

“America’s SBDC Iowa is pleased to announce the hiring of Pam Johnson as director of our North Central Iowa center,” says SBDC State Director Lisa Shimkat. “We feel Pam will provide excellent service to the region’s clients, encouraging new business growth and improving partner relations.”

Johnson is a graduate of the University of Iowa and holds master’s degrees from Texas Tech University and Loyola University of Chicago. Her professional background includes a variety of experience with large and small companies in the public, private and non-profit sectors.

“The resources available to our SBDC clients can truly make a difference to the ongoing success of both new and existing small businesses,” says Johnson. “I am delighted to have the opportunity to lead the North Central Iowa SBDC and further our mission of small business development in Iowa.”

The North Central Iowa SBDC, headquartered in Fort Dodge, provides complimentary, customized and confidential business counseling advice, plus affordable, practical workshops, to business owners and entrepreneurs in Audubon, Calhoun, Carroll, Greene, Guthrie, Hamilton, Humboldt, Pocahontas, Sac and Webster counties.
