Jillian Rae Christiansen and Matthew William Johnston announce their engagement and approaching wedding. Parents of the couple are Michael and Lisa Christiansen of Newell, and William and Colette Johnston of Stanhope.

Jillian is a 2011 graduate of Newell-Fonda Community School and a 2015 Graduate of Iowa State University in Elementary Education. She is a special education teacher at Storm Lake Elementary School in Storm Lake.

Matthew is a 2011 graduate of South Hamilton Community School and a 2014 Graduate of Iowa State University in Ag. Systems Technology. He is a sales representative at Ziegler Caterpillar in Fort Dodge.

The couple will be married June 18 at Bethel Baptist Church in Newell.
