Shalini Sonia Hanoman from Webster City and Dr. E. Joseph Campbell from Flint, Mich., have announced their engagement and upcoming wedding to be held Oct. 5, 2014 in Charleston, S.C.

Shalini is the daughter of Ron and Chandra Hanoman of Webster City. She graduated from Webster City High School in 2000 and received her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University Iowa with a double major in Finance and Management and Organizations. She is currently a director on the Leveraged Finance Distribution & Trading Desk at BMO Capital Markets in Chicago.

Joseph is the son of Elbert and Annie Campbell of Flint, Mich. He is a 1993 graduate of Beecher High School and received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 1997 from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. He received a Master of Science degree in Chemistry in 1998 and his Doctorate of Science in Organic Chemistry in 2001 from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. Dr. Campbell is currently the director of catalyst research at GreatPoint Energy in Chicago.
