Tompkins, Feddersen marry in Des Moines

Kelsey Tompkins, daughter of Dan and Becky (Roop) Tompkins of Davenport, and Garrett Feddersen, son of Roger and Nancy Feddersen of Ida Grove, were married in Des Moines on August 24, 2013 at the Sylvan Theatre in Greenwood Park. The reception followed at the Simpson Barn in Johnston. The bride’s aunt, Jane Tompkins, was the hostess. Colors were pink and orange with teal accents.

Claire Tompkins, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Meredith Tompkins, Alison Good, Jess Cewe, Amy Townsend, Jennifer Van Wyk, and Joa Rolffs. Flower girls were Zoey and Johnelle Gliem.

The best man was Lucan Jorgensen, friend of the groom. Other groomsmen included Nicholas Otis, Matthew Bullard, Christopher Scholtens, James Barger, and Dwight Gliem. Justin Gohdes was the officiant as well as a groomsman. The ring bearer was Curtis Gliem. Ushers were Mike Buse, Fred Good, and Michael Mullen.

The bride graduated from Webster City High School and Central College in Pella with a BA degree in biology. She’s employed by Northeast Iowa Medical Education Foundation in Waterloo as a Clinical Research Coordinator.

The groom was a Battle Creek-Ida Grove High School graduate, a Cornell College graduate with a degree in biochemistry and political science, and received his Doctor of Osteopathy from Des Moines University. He is currently in a residency program in the Waterloo area hospitals and clinics
