Rehearsals are underway for Webster City Community Theatre’s summer production of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. The play is based on the story by C.S. Lewis’ The Chronicles of Narnia and was dramatized by Joseph Robinette. Performance dates are July 12, 13, 19 and 20 at 7 pm and July 14 and 21 at 2 pm. Tickets will go on sale July 6. All tickets are $12.

The cast of 25 is under the direction of Loween Getter, assisted by Andrew Wotherspoon and Angela Rottering, and stage manager Mykah Kennedy. Appearing in the two-act non-musical are the following:

Organizers say it takes a village to bring a production to opening night. A number of volunteers are hard at work on the set, props, costumes, makeup, programs, publicity, lights and sound, managing the box office, lining up ushers, and getting the venue ready for the audiences.
