4-H Club news

WHH 4-H Club

The regular meeting of the WHH 4-H Club was held on Saturday, December 9th, at Chamness Technology. The meeting was called to order by President Kaylee Oskvig. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Kaden Schwandt. The 4-H Pledge was led by new members Aiden Feltz, Noah Lanz, Rylan Zorn, Jay Wiese, Kaylee Kohl, and Owen Patterson. Roll call was, “What is your favorite Christmas tradition?” It was answered by 18 members, eight guests, and two leaders. The secretary’s report was read by Aspen Wibholm, and the treasurer’s report was given by Beau Klaver. Beau received a check from the Williams Lions Club for the club picking up the park after the 4th of July.

Old business included the discussion of a possible trip to Boone to go sledding for our club Christmas party. At the 4-Herama, Dylan Oskvig was recognized for Outstanding Junior Award. Devon Stoakes attended the leadership meeting and learned the roles and responsibilities of officers. Beau Klaver went to the Cattle Show in Cedar Rapids and got second. New business included reading dates to remember from the 4-H newsletter, installing of an officer and new members. Adalie Schwandt was installed as vice president. New members are Owen Patterson, Noah Lanz, and Rylan Zorn.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:38 a.m. Devon Stoakes gave a presentation called “Chex Me Out”. Our club then held a gift exchange for Christmas. Hosts were Devon Stoakes, Adalie Schwandt, and Kaden Schwandt.

The next meeting will be held on Jan. 13 at Chamness Technology at 9 a.m.
