n ‘Our roots run deep’ is theme for 99th annual exposition

Two new members were elected to the Board of Directors at the annual meeting of the Hamilton County Fair last week.

Adam Richardson of Webster City and Todd Hassebrock of Williams were elected to three-year terms. Tennie Carlson of Stratford and Charity Hayes, Webster City were also re-elected to three-year terms.

President of the Board, Tennie Carlson, announced the theme for the 2016 Hamilton County Fair which is “Our Roots Run Deep Ribbons, Rides and Racing.” The 2016 event will be the 99th annual county fair.

Todd Foster, head of the Hamilton County Speedway Racing Association, reported on the new race track scoreboard purchased by the group. The new electronic board is slated to be erected and ready for the track’s first race in April.

It was also announced the Tennie Carlson was seeking a seat on the Iowa State Fair Board of Directors to represent north central Iowa.
