Martha Hill

Martha Hill of Stanhope will celebrate her 90th birthday on February 6. Her family is hosting an open house in her honor on Sunday, January 28 at the Stanhope Community Center from noon to 3 PM. Family and friends are welcome to attend, but requested to bring no gifts.

Her family includes three sons, Rich (Teri) Hill of Lyons, Kansas, Tom (Diana) Hill, and Carl (Jeanne) Hill, both of Webster City. Martha has 9 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Martha Ermels Hill was born in Webster City. She and husband Richard Hill farmed south of Webster City and owned a Standard Oil business in Stanhope. Richard passed away in 1999 and her youngest son Chuck died in 1977.
