She has 4 great grandchildren, Peyton and Gabrielle Gordon and Sophie and Max Smith.

Max was born July 6th in Woolstock where he graduated from high school in 1943. On Dec. 1, 1946, he married Elsie Thompson and they have lived in Webster City for the 69 years they have been married. Max was the Managing Editor of the Aberdeen Angus Journal and was also a Webster City letter carrier.
