Hawk golfers 7th at 2A district meet
The South Hamilton boys’ golf team shot a 349 and finished at the back of the seven-team Class 2A district field at Fox Ridge Golf Course in Dike on Friday.
Roland-Story won the team title with a 321, a shot ahead of host Dike-New Hartford (322). They advanced to this week’s state tournament at American Legion Golf Course in Marshalltown alongside third-place finisher Clarion-Goldfield-Dows (326).
D-NH’s Bo Weissenfluh fired a 1-over-par 72 to take the individual title.
Jared Ullestad led South Hamilton with an 80. Wyatt Heins was the only other Hawk to break 90; he posted an 89.
Trevor Lammers (90) and Tegan Risetter (90) rounded out the scoring. Alex Titus (91) and Jake Sprague (93) also took part.
