Westendorf medalist, Lynx girls putt way past Cougars

WEBSTER CITY — A medalist round from Brianna Westendorf and a quality nine-hole stretch from Maddie Casady keyed a dual-meet victory for the Webster City girls’ golf team Tuesday afternoon at the Webster City Links.

Westendorf’s 48 topped the leaderboard, as the Lynx fired a 244 to take down Manson-Northwest Webster, which posted a 258.

Casady, who played in the No. 1 spot in the Lynx lineup, earned the runner-up distinction with a 54, one shot clear of the Cougars’ top player Morgan Byson (55).

Hannah Mulholland added a 62 for WCHS and MagieJo Atchison completed the scoring with an 80. Hannah Miller added an 83.

The Lynx next compete on Tuesday, April 18.
