No. 4 Panthers run over Trojets, stay unbeaten in ISC

TRIPOLI – No. 4-ranked (Class 1A) Tripoli stayed on a collision course with No. 3 Janesville for the rights to the Iowa Star Conference championship trophy here Tuesday night.

The Panthers (19-8, 7-0 ISC) went about their business quickly in disposing of Northeast Hamilton in three sets, 25-6, 25-11, 25-7.

“We did a fairly good job of playing with them … we just have a hard time serve receiving,” NEH head coach Kacey Pruismann said. “We need more confidence and communication.

“As usual, Tripoli is a very well coached team and a fundamentally sound team. Playing them makes us better.”

The Trojets (1-22, 1-7 ISC) were limited to eight kills; Lillian Chamness manufactured four of them and Leah Meyer added three. Tiffany Werner Moore handed out five of the assists.

MaKayla Tapper collected a team-high five digs. Cassidy Nerland came up with four.

NEH will wrap up its conference slate this evening at CAL.
