De-icing chemicals used on streets

I noticed this year where the snow and ice fell off my vehicles and melted the runoff killed the grass in my yard. I also noticed quite a few dead areas where the snow plows threw the chemical induced snow on the parking. Would someone in the know write an article on how to neutralize the chemicals used and what needs to be done to grow the grass again?

The salt is what melts into the ground and kills grass roots. We suggest raking in an abundant amount of quality grass seed first thing in the spring and fertilizing to get the grass growing thick again. If not done, weeds will grow in place of the old grass. Good luck! -Alison @ NCTurf
