ALTA, Iowa (AP) — An Iowa man used 600 golf balls to make a 6-foot-tall statue of a golfer swinging a club.
KCAU reports (http://bit.ly/1qhXYFs ) Kevin Pingel's creation in Alta, Iowa, is an expression of his love for golf.
Pingel says he decided to create the statue after collecting hundreds of golf balls from his yard on a golf course.
Pingel says he welded together metal rods to form the shape of the man and drilled holes in the golf balls to put them on the rods.
Pingel began the project last November and completed the 100-pound statute in May.
