Kristin Chung, PA-C, will soon join the health care team at Van Diest Medical Center.
Chung is a certified physician assistant with a family medicine background. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Des Moines University in Des Moines. She will be practicing out of the Main Clinic, currently located in Van Diest Medical Center, and will provide care in the emergency department at the hospital.
"Kristin brings a broad spectrum of knowledge that will enable us to provide a wide range of family medicine services to patients," said hospital Chief Executive Officer Lori Rathbun.
Chung will be working with Dr. Reda Daher, Board Certified Internist, also joining the hospital medical team in October of this year.
"This is a very exciting time for area residents with the recent successful recruitment of two new providers. Offering specialized internal medicine, family practice, and emergency services will continue to benefit our community greatly while supporting the future viability of our county hospital."Rathbun said.
Daher earned his medical degree from Des Moines University and completed his internal medicine residency at University of Oklahoma in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He brings extensive experience working in the hospital inpatient and intensive care setting. Daher will see patients in the Main Clinic and provide services in the Emergency Department at Van Diest Medical Center.
