Farmer Appreciation breakfast planned by Main Street Kiwanis

Local farmer to be recognized

The Webster City Main Street Kiwanis is sponsoring its annual Farmer Appreciation Breakfast on July 15 at 7 a.m. at the Grid Iron Restaurant. The guest speaker for the event is Jim Knuth, senior vice president for Farm Credit Services of America. Knuth has nearly 30 years of commercial and agricultural lending experience and leads Farm Credit Services of America's Iowa retail lending operations. The retail lending operations serve the needs of over 23,500 Iowa producers and include $7.0 billion in loan assets and the largest crop insurance agency in the state of Iowa. Knuth grew up in Iowa on a beef cattle farm, is an Iowa State University graduate, married and the father of four children.
