PRAIRIE CITY - The South Hamilton baseball team showed just how far it has come in less than a month here last night.
After losing 19-8 to PCM on June 2, the Hawks took the Mustangs down to the wire last night before Dillon Bruxvoort sent the ball into orbit to end the Heart of Iowa Conference contest.
Bruxvoort's walk-off two-run home run gave PCM (9-8, 7-6 HOIC) the 3-1 victory.
"The growth we've had since the beginning of the season is great," South Hamilton head coach Bret Bell said. "I think the guys understand how far we've come, too."
All of PCM's runs came courtesy of the long ball. Glenn Gillespie cranked a solo shot in the second inning.
Trey Woodall allowed just three hits on the mound for the Hawks (2-15, 0-12 HOIC). He walked three and struck out five.
