Several new exhibits are available for the public to view at the Deport Museum at Wilson Brewer Park this year.
The museum, which opened for the season this weekend, is looking to host at least one major event every month this year according to volunteer Cheryl Patrou.
This year, museum visitors can see several new displays. Community members have lent items to the museum to host exhibits on the history of telephones, historic women's items such as dresses and jewelry, a button collection and a display on Thomas Martin, a deceased local veteran.
Depot Museum volunteer Cheryl Patrou holds part of a lent button collection from Leila Hemmen which will be on display this year.
This Sunday will mark the first major event of the year at the museum with National Train Day festivities hosted from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. with special guests and museum open houses for visitors.
