The Daily Freeman Journal
From left, Webster City Recreation and Public Grounds Director Kent Harfst and Wayne Fuhlbrugge plant trees on Saturday morning near Nokomis Park in Webster City in observance of Earth Day and Arbor Day. Volunteers worked over the weekend to plant about 400 trees, according to Harfst. Trees planted included cottonwood, birch and black walnut. Harfst said some of the trees will be moved to other parks in the community at a later date.
