EAGLE GROVE - The Fuhs twins went head-to-head for bragging rights Friday afternoon at the Eagle Grove Golf Course, and in the process they took their teammates along for the ride.
Alec and Avery Fuhs took over the top two spots on the leaderboard and Webster City shot a blistering 147 on the par-35 course to easily top Eagle Grove (179) in a North Central Conference dual.
Alec Fuhs nudged ahead of his sibling by posting a 2-under 33. He birdied back-to-back holes - the par-3 fourth and the par-4 fifth - and took pars the rest of the way.
Avery Fuhs birdied the par-4 second, but suffered a bogey on the par-4 sixth to dip back to even.
Teammate Logan Yates carded a 37 to give WCHS the top three scores. Drew Fielder, Connor Shannon and Sean Vogelbacher all shot rounds of 42.
"The top of our lineup really is starting to play well," WCHS head coach Dave Brighton said.
