Seiser deals up 30 points and 16 boards, still not enough against Warriors

Meskwaki Settlement utilizes depth, balance to claim 11th straight victory

The Daily Freeman Journal

TAMA - Northeast Hamilton's one-man offensive show was no match for the waves of players that Meskwaki Settlement threw onto the floor throughout Monday's Iowa Star Conference boys' basketball contest.

Nine different players scored for the Warriors (16-2, 12-2 ISC), who rolled to their 11th straight victory, 62-49. They haven't felt disappointment since a 58-50 loss to GMG on Jan. 4.

Allis Tahahwah dropped in 14 of his 16 points in the second half and Adonis Lasley poured in all 10 of his points during the same stretch to allow Meskwaki Settlement to build a comfortable lead. The Warriors led 51-29 after three quarters.

NEH (6-9, 5-8 ISC) had no answer for Royce Timberwolf in the opening quarter, as he scored all seven of his points to help his team build a 13-5 cushion. A 19-11 second-quarter run gave the Warriors a 32-16 halftime advantage.

The Trojans again got an all-state caliber performance from senior do-everything forward Logan Seiser. He connected on eight shots from the field, including a pair of 3-pointers, and went 12 of 14 at the free throw line for a game-high 30 points. He also collected 16 rebounds.

Seiser scored 14 of the Trojans' 20 fourth-quarter points. He currently sits fourth in scoring in Class 1A at 24.3 points per game and is seventh in rebounding at 12.5 a night.
