Rotary raises funds for project

Individual members of the Webster City Rotary Club gave a total of $52,550 in December 2013 to help fund water and sanitation projects in Tanzania, Africa. The local club partnered with the Ames Rotary Club and nine other Rotary Clubs around the world to help bring water and sanitation to this part of Africa. Shown with the check are committee members Doug Bailey, Phil Voge, Dr. Leo Moriarty and Dr. Mark Andrew. The club is also instrumental in helping to fund various local causes, including Meals on Wheels, All Cultures Equal, Van Diest Medical Center, Youth and Family Services, Warm Hearts-Warm Homes, Hamilton County Crime Stoppers, Power Up YOUth, after prom programs and many others. The group has also sponsored local environmental and clean up projects in Hamilton County.
