Kendall Young Library hosts second annual Chocolate fest

Chocolate lovers gathered at Kendall Young Library on Sunday for the second annual Festival of Chocolate.

A group of seven volunteer community judges ranked the chocolate dishes for each category in the festival. Winners received Webster City Chamber bucks.

Barbara Flowerday won first place in the cookies category for her chocolate dipped meringues. Shirley Yungclas won first in the brownies and bars category for a chocolate, marshmallow and peanuts dish. Joy Fopma won the cakes and cupcakes category for her "Too Much Chocolate Cake." Laurel Palmer won in the confections and candy category for a chocolate caramel candy dish.
