The National Commander for the American Legion will be attending several events during his visit to Webster City today and Tuesday.
National Commander Dan Dellinger will be visiting with local Legionnaires and community members during his visit. According to a schedule of the Commander's visit provided by the American Legion, Dellinger will attend a special meeting with the City Council of Webster City, law enforcement officials, the Webster City Fire Department, the Hamilton County Board of Supervisors and more at 2 p.m. today. At that meeting, Dellinger will discuss the programs of the American Legion Post, a flag rewards program and more.
Legionnaires will also visit Webster City Middle School on Tuesday at 10 a.m. The Legion will give a presentation on flag etiquette to fifth grade classes. Also on Tuesday morning, Post 191 Commander Ron Keigan will lead a group to visit local nursing homes beginning at 11:30 a.m.

A visit to the Boulevard of Valor in Webster City is planned for the group at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
The National Commander's visit will culminate in an open house at Post 191 on Second Street in Webster City. The open house, which is planned for 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., will host light refreshments.
Dellinger will also attend a meeting with the revitalization team of Webster City Post 191. The Post has plans to call and contact local veterans to invite them to the open house.
