NEVADA - Ahead by as many as 18 points in the second half, the South Hamilton boys' basketball team rebounded from a loss to North Polk last Friday by beating Heart of Iowa Conference rival Nevada last night.

Freshman Collin Hill had another big night offensively and the Hawks (8-3, 8-2 HOIC) cruised to a 61-45 victory. The shooting guard buried a pair of 3-pointers and poured in 22 points to lead all scorers.

Hill had help from fellow wings Trevor Ullestad and Matt Hislop, who pitched in 11 and 10 points, respectively. Ullestad and Hislop also had two 3s each.

Andrew Wintermote added seven points before fouling out and Zach Puls chipped in six.

AJ Strottman notched 12 points to pace Nevada (1-7, 1-7 HOIC).

South Hamilton built a 31-21 lead at the intermission. The Hawks owned a 46-35 lead after three quarters.
