New events and exhibits will come to the Wilson Brewer Park Museums and Visitor Center when it opens for the season on May 2, 2014.
Center Volunteer Cheryl Patrou said the Park plans to host many smaller events in the coming year. Those events include speakers on a variety of interests, hobbies and collections. One planned is a talk from Terry Johnston on fire stations.
New displays at the Museums and Center include the history of telephones and vintage clothing and accessories. Patrou said the Center is looking to expand its offerings next year and beyond.
Donna Foster introduces the characters in the reenactment of Hamilton County's first murder trial during Heritage Day at the Wilson Brewer Park Museums and Visitors Center, held in August of 2013.
"We want to take a look at more recent history," Patrou said. "We want to make history fun for everyone who visits."
Patrou said as the Park opens, there will be several volunteers on hand to help give tours of the buildings on site. To set up a tour, call Patrou at 297-0752.
