Conservation and eminent domain boards have openings

The Hamilton County Board of Supervisors is seeking two people to serve on county boards and commissions.

The supervisors will be appointing persons to various boards and commissions in the coming year at their organizational meeting on Jan. 2. Interested citizens of 18 years of age and older are invited to contact the board of supervisors regarding openings on the following Boards and Commissions:

Conservation Board: This five member board meets monthly and is responsible for establishing policies, conservation programming and maintaining conservation lands in Hamilton County. There is one seat available.

Eminent Domain Commission: The twenty-eight member commission meets only as necessary to set land values in condemnation proceedings. The commission is made up of seven business people, seven real-estate professionals, seven farmers and seven property owners. The commission has one opening for a real-estate professional.
