Don’t forget pets this Christmas

When checking off the Christmas gift list, don't forget Fido and Fluffy. Webster City Medical Clinic has a tree in the lobby devoted entirely to four-legged friends.

"All of these ornaments are dog treats," said Jane Berry, who works in the lab. "We've also made dog pulls made from recycled T-shirts." There are also cat toys displayed.

Berry said the treats and toys are available for people to take home for their fur kids this Christmas. The cost of each is a free will donation which will go to Almost Home. The treats also come bagged for pet owners to take home.

In addition, the clinic is accepting donations from Almost Home's wish list, including such things as dog food and cat food, cat litter; treats; blankets and towels; pet beds; office supplies; hand sanitizer, laundry, dish and hand soap. Cash donations are also welcomed.
