The ladies had their chance to shop til they dropped in October. Now, it's the guys turn to have a special night out in Webster City.
The Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce will host Guys Night Out on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
The fun will actually begin today and continue through Friday, according to Deb Brown, Chamber of Commerce executive director.
"The guys can visit local stores and pick up a poker card and try to create the best five-card poker hand for prizes to be given out Friday night," she said. Stores taking part are Gerber Auto, NAPA, True Value, Lampert, Bomgaars, Marlie's Garage, Critter Nation, Dinsdale Motors and Webster City RV.
Poker hands should be turned in to Hy-Vee Friday between 6 and 7:30 p.m. Prizes, including craft beer, Chamber bucks and more, will be given to the winners.
In addition, Hy-Vee will be hosting a craft beer tasting from 6 to 8 p.m. There is no cost to participate and Brown said the Chamber asks that beer tasters drink responsibly and enjoy the evening.
Following the tasting, the guys are invited to Seneca Street Saloon for pizza specials.
