The Daily Freeman Journal

BLAIRSBURG - Logan Seiser and Nick Jeffers continued to be a formidable one-two offensive punch and the Northeast Hamilton boys' basketball team hammered a second straight opponent here Friday night.

Seiser and Jeffers accounted for 45 points in a 52-16 shellacking of Iowa Star Conference rival Clarksville. The Trojans (2-0, 2-0 ISC) held the Indians to just four points in the second and third quarters.

"I think we're definitely an improved team over last year," NEH head coach John Seiser said. "We know that this is the weakest part of our schedule, but on the bright side it gives us a chance for some players to get more comfortable. We're doing what we want to do."

Logan Seiser produced another double-double with 26 points and 15 rebounds. Jeffers sizzled by making all eight shot attempts - three came from outside the arc - en route to 19 points.

Jeffers has canned 17 of 20 shots so far this season while averaging 19.5 points. Logan Seiser is contributing 30 points per game.

"Nick's making really good decisions and he's being aggressive driving to the basket right now," John Seiser said. "Logan draws a lot of attention and he's taking advantage of the creases in the defense."
