WEBSTER CITY - Kaylee Schnathorst capped her brilliant prep volleyball career with two more honors last week.

The Webster City senior outside hitter was a Class 4A honorable mention all-state and West District all-district selection by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association. Teammate Morgan Gourley, also a senior, joined her on the all-district squad.

For those keeping track, the latest accolades gives Schnathorst 10 prestigious honors during her four-year career. She was a four-time all-North Central Conference pick, including three unanimous first-team awards, and a three-time all-district and all-state choice.

Schnathorst received 3A special mention all-state status as a sophomore in 2011 and was a 4A honorable mention honoree in 2012.

Schnathorst piled up 334 kills to rank 12th in the class during her final fall campaign.

Gourley - also a first-team all-NCC member this fall - filled various roles for the Lynx during her career. Her final season saw her smack 160 kills and collect a team-high 378 digs.
