November 25, 2013
The Daily Freeman Journal
Hamilton County Crime Stoppers received another boost for tips about break-ins at vacant residential homes from the Webster City Multiple Listing Service with additional support from the Realtors Foundation of Iowa. Carol Wells, front center, chair of the Webster City MLS, presented the check to Terry Christensen, president of the Crime Stoppers Board. Also on hand for the presentation were realtors Jim Fortune, Becky King, Tyler Abens and Police Chief Brian Hughes. The realtors commended the police department for their vigilance in checking vacant homes in the community. Hughes and the realtors urged area residents to keep watch over vacant homes in their neighborhoods and to report any suspicious activity or vehicles around the homes. To submit a tip, call Crime Stoppers at 832-8437; Email or text “Crimes” to 274637 – Keyword “IA40.” Those submitting tips can remain anonymous.
