Honor Flight donation

November 19, 2013
The Daily Freeman Journal
The Brushy Creek Honor Flight program received a financial boost Monday as Tim and Kathy Finucan donated $2,000 to help send Hamilton County veterans on future flights to Washington, D.C. Finucan, right, presented the check to Russ Naden, a member of the Brushy Creek Honor Flight board. Naden said there are currently 17 veterans signed up for the two planned 2014 flights. It costs about $600 to send a vet on the trip to tour the monuments and parts of the nation’s Capitol. Donations may be sent to Brushy Creek Area Honor Flight, 320 S. 12th St.; Fort Dodge, IA 50501. Donations are tax deductible.
