Kirk Johnson Hill, age 58, was born on March 12, 1955 in Webster City, Iowa to Neel Franklyn Hill and Thelma Johnson Hill. He passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 6, 2013 at his home in the Omaha, NE area. Funeral services were held Monday, November 11, 2113 at the West Center Chapel in Omaha and he was laid to rest in the nearby LaPlatte Cemetery.
Kirk was preceded in death by his father, Neel Hill. He is survived by his daughter, Leanne Carlson (Mark): son, Keenan Hill, both of Omaha; mother, Thelma Hill of Webster City, Iowa; grandchildren, Henry and Nora Carlson; brothers, Frank Hill (Linda) and Kenn Hill; sister, Neela Kottmeier (Robert); nephews Rob Kottmeier (Katie), Ethan Hill (Taylor), Isaac Hill (Brooke); and niece, Sarah Kottmeier Hickey (Justin).
Kirk graduated in 1973 from South Hamilton Community High School where he was active in sports and Future Farmers of America. He attended Webster City Community College for two years and then graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in marketing. Kirk worked in the food service business for several years and owned his own business in the Omaha area for the past twenty years.
