Bell ringers sought

Hourly shifts available for volunteers

Volunteers are needed to ring bells assist with Salvation Army Bell Ringing over the Thanksgiving Holiday.

The bell ringing will be take place at Hy-Vee and Fareway on Nov. 27, 29 and 30. There are hourly shifts starting at 9 a.m. with the last shift starting at 6 p.m. that still need to be covered. Those interested in signing up for an hourly bell ringing shift please contact Upper Des Moines Opportunity Inc. by calling Jamie or Catie at 832-6451.

Ninety percent of Salvation Army donations received during these three days stay in Hamilton County. The funds are used to provide emergency services for Hamilton County income eligible residents. Last year a little over $2,500.00 was collected.
