Open house set for Veterans Day

November 6, 2013
The Daily Freeman Journal

A Veterans Day open house will be held Sunday at the Wilson Brewer Park, Museums and Visitor Center at the corner of Ohio and Superior Streets.

The Depot building will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. on that day. Other buildings on the grounds will be open from 1 to 4 p.m., weather permitting.

The Depot building will feature the Military Room with displays of many generations of military artifacts and memorabilia. Also on display will be the Native American exhibit and an exhibit celebration Webster City's 100 years of Boy Scouting. This will be the last chance to view the Boy Scout display, officials said.

The Depot basement has a large display of vintage cameras and the artwork of the Boone River Area Art Guild. There will also be old home movies of the Webster City Boy Scouts available for viewing.

Sunday will also mark the last open day of the season for the Depot and historial buildings.
