It is that time of year again for Iowa Central Community College's 10th Annual "Share What You Wear" project. This year, the Share What You Wear event is part of the Winter Wonderland Program in Webster City.
Volunteers will start collecting items starting Nov. 5. The truck for donations will be located directly behind the Career Education Building on the Fort Dodge campus. Drop off times are every Tuesday and Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m., except Thanksgiving week, up until the actual event which is Dec. 7. Student Senate will be there to help unload vehicles.
Drop off sites on campus will be:
A child selects one of many stuffed animals that were donated by community members to last year’s Share What You Wear Program.
The Rec Center - this is the recommended spot as it will be close to the truck. (just take it to the front desk area)
The AST Building
The front of the Administration Building
The hallway by the Help Desk
Items that will be accepted include good, clean clothing, boots, shoes, coats, gloves, hats, toys, school clothes, baby items, men's and women's work clothing, sheets, towels, blankets, travel size soaps and shampoos and school supplies. Please do not donate any clothing or items with holes or smell. The program also accepts any new items that could be wrapped as Christmas gifts.
This event is for the needy people in the community. Iowa Central hopes community members can give their time, items or money to help make the event successful.
