The Webster City School District Board of Directors will meet today for the first time since the Digital Learning Initiative iPad rollout began last week.

The rollout first began at Pleasant View and Sunset Elementary Schools last week. This week, the rollout is set to begin at Webster City Middle School and will continue to Webster City High School next week. The district has been holding meetings with parents and guardians about the rollout which will continue as the rollout moves on.

The board is also set to discuss their sharing agreement with the Northeast Hamilton School District on Monday night. At the Northeast Hamilton Board's last meeting, they voted to begin negotiations with the Webster City District on either renewing its partial-day sharing program or entering into whole grade sharing for the 2014 to 2015 school year.

The NEH board is required by state law to submit a resolution of consideration to the state before Nov. 1, and today's meeting of the Webster City School Board will be the last before that deadline.

In other business, the board is expecting to hear a common core presentation that has been tabled since their Aug. 26 board meeting.
