The City Council of Webster City will face a brief agenda Monday when it meets in regular session at city hall at 7 p.m.
The third reading of a proposed ordinance providing for the division of taxes levied on taxable property in the 2013 Addition to the 2013 Red Bull Division Urban Renewal /Webster City Residential Urban Area B will be heard.
The council will also have a second reading of a proposed amendment to the code of ordinances amending Chapters 121 and 122 pertaining to zoning. A Webster City church had approached the planning and zoning commission about changing the zoning for the former Public Health Building at the corner of Seneca and Division streets, so the building could be used for a church. Several members of the church attended the last meeting in support of the measure.
City Council members are expected to set a date and time for a public hearing on a proposed amendment to the code of ordinances of by amending Chapter 123 as it relates to towers, commercial communication, transmission and similar towers. The proposed date for the hearing is Nov. 4 at 7:25 p.m.
A request for a one transfer for Racerz from 1639 W. James St. to 1941 West James St. for a Halloween party on Oct. 26 is also on the agenda.
The council will go into closed session after the regular items of business to discuss matters with counsel that are presently in litigation or where litigation is imminent.
