October 2, 2013
The Daily Freeman Journal

To the Editor,

4-H is a great way to grow leadership and communication skills, meet different people and their interests, get involved in the community and have lots of fun. 4-H is offered to anybody fourth grade and older up to 12th grade.

I have been part of the 4-H program since fourth grade and from it I have gained many skills and knowledge that I can use later on in life. While being involved in 4-H, I have been part of the horticulture, woodworking, food and nutrition and photography project areas. It has also really fun. There are many thing that you can be involved in, no matter what your interests are. There are many different project areas areas that are available to 4-Her's such as food and nutrition; dog obedience; livestock; photography and communications.

To find out more information, contact the Hamilton County Extension office, 832-9597.
