RANDALL - Young artists will be showcased on Saturday in Randall at a new event sponsored by the Randall Area Fine Arts Council when all young artists are invited to perform on Main Street. Registration starts at 8 a.m. Young artists will perform every half-hour starting at 9 a.m.

Musicians, bands, singers, dancers, writers, poets, gymnasts, comedians and others are invited to perform. In addition, young visual artists can exhibit their artwork.

The Randall Area Fine Arts Council last year celebrated 25 years of successfully supporting the performing arts with events throughout the year. Saturday's activities are in memory of Bob McNutt, founder of Ragtime in Randall and the Randall Area Fine Arts Council.

"Bob told us never to charge a registration fee for anything we do," said Marcie Osmundson, current president of the organization, "He said that the people in Randall took him in, fed him, and helped clean his house, so he didn't want them to pay for anything."
